Altagrove Activates End-to-End Airborne Connectivity for Global Mission Partner

Altagrove announces a new contract award from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to deliver a fully integrated airborne connectivity solution that enhances real-time communications between airborne platforms and ground-based command infrastructure. This end-to-end capability supports mission-critical operations with secure, persistent connectivity across a wide operational footprint. Under the terms of the contract, Altagrove provides the satellite space segment necessary to establish continuous global communications coverage. This is paired with advanced gateway infrastructure that facilitates seamless, secure data transfer between airborne assets and terrestrial networks.

Altagrove also builds and manages a dedicated terrestrial wide area network (WAN) as part of the solution. This network includes an extension to Fort Bragg, NC, enabling direct integration with one of the military’s most vital operational hubs and supporting synchronized command-and-control across airborne missions. To maintain service continuity and performance, Altagrove operates a secure, 24/7 Network Operations Center(NOC), which monitors the network, manages incidents, and ensures uninterrupted availability. The company also provides training and exercise support, preparing operators to fully leverage the airborne connectivity architecture in both live and simulated mission environments.

“This program demonstrates our customer’s trust in Altagrove to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performance communications infrastructure to support today’s airborne operations,” says Andy Beegan, President at Altagrove. “We are proud to enable real-time operational decision-making and situational awareness where it’s needed most.” The contract strengthens Altagrove’s position as a key technology partner in the defense sector, offering scalable, integrated solutions that combine satellite communications, ground infrastructure, operational support, and lifecycle service management.
